Our ladies have a variety of interests and are proud to offer a wide selection of activities. The groups are fluid, and new members are always welcome. The best way to bloom where you're planted is to jump right in!

Art Group

Join us as we gather with other crafty ladies. Bring your art project (such as knitting, painting, crocheting, or jewelry making) to share, laugh, and enjoy each other's company. Each person brings their project to work on or can even learn something new! We meet the 3rd Monday of each month.

Benefit Beat

We give back to the community while spending time with a great group of women! We meet each month to volunteer at a different organization around the Cleveland Metro Area. We generally meet on the 4th Thursday of each month. Come often or occasionally; you are always welcome!

Book Club

We're a fun and lively group that meets monthly at various locations. Socialize and discuss our latest read, and if you have time, join us for lunch at a nearby restaurant. We meet the 1st Monday of the month.

Bon Appétit 

Bon Appétit is a great time to invite our spouses or significant others to join us for a night out. We try many different restaurants around Cleveland. We meet the 3rd Saturday evening of each month.

Bunco

Bunco is a dice game that doesn't require much skill, but always brings lots of laughs. Join us on the 4th Tuesday of each month at a member's home.

Canasta

Welcome to Canasta with the New Clevelanders! Canasta is a four-player card game resembling Rummy. We meet at 10:30 am for social time, and play from 11:00 am to 2 pm on the 3rd Thursday of the month, taking turns hosting in our homes. We eat lunch together, and we also schedule lessons periodically throughout the year for new players. Join us for a fun day out!

Excursions

Once a month, venture out with the New Clevelander ladies as we explore interesting places throughout the Cleveland area. We will visit museums, markets, and historical sites—all of the places that you will want to take your family and friends when they come to visit. Learn how to navigate the city while enjoying the company of new friends, and before you know it, Cleveland will seem more like home! We meet the 3rd Friday of each month.

Golf

Our golf group is in full swing from spring to fall. The season typically starts with introductory lessons for those interested. We play nine holes on Wednesday mornings at Gleneagles Golf Course in Twinsburg. Don't worry, all skill levels are welcome!

Happy Hour

Do you enjoy gathering with other women in a casual setting over good food and drinks? We are a fun group of women who meet at area restaurants for happy hour and/or dinner. We meet the 3rd Tuesday evening of the month from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

Knitting

Join us for a relaxing and creative time with our knitting (and crocheting) friends. This is a great time to work on your current project, get inspired by others, and enjoy easy conversation. First-timers, newbies, etc. — all skill levels are welcome! We meet the 2nd Thursday of the month from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, and sometimes we all go for lunch afterward.

Lunch Bunch

Join us for lunch! We meet once a month and visit restaurants with reasonably priced options. Each month is new and different. We meet the 1st Thursday of the month from 11:30-1:00.

Mah Jongg

Mah Jongg is a Chinese tile game of skill, strategy, and calculation, with a bit of luck. It's easy to learn, yet mentally challenging. We play from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month, taking turns hosting. We usually have a beginners' table, so don't be shy! We schedule lessons periodically throughout the year for new players. Come on out and see if it's for you.

Yummy Cooking Club

Gastronomy is the study of the relationship between food and culture, the art of preparing and serving appetizing food, a style of cooking for a particular region, and the science of good eating.

If you like to bake, cook, eat, or talk about food, consider us! We mix food, friendship, cooking, eating, and recipe sharing to create something pretty special! We meet in small groups once a month and share a meal designed around an ever-changing theme. All experience levels are welcome, and we will work hard to place you in a group that fits your interests. We meet the 4th Wednesday of the month.
